Update: Could your charitable or community organisation benefit from having a video made for free?

A couple of months ago I posted an offer to make a video, for free, for a local charity here in Leeds as part of Volunteers’ Week.  I’m happy to say that shooting is now underway with The Ciaran Bingham Foundation Trust, a new charity working in the communities of South Leeds.  The aim of the CBFT is to help the elderly residents through their “Hand of Friendship” Scheme to relieve poverty and social isolation.

The Trust was founded by Margaret Bingham and Andrea Edwards after the death of Margaret’s son Ciaran, in a Road Traffic Accident, aged 19 to honour the memory of a young man that loved helping others, young and old, in the community.

I’m grateful to Hilary Benn MP, a CBFT Patron, for being the first interviewee.  Filming has also taken place at the Hunslet Club and at a lunch club at St. Matthew’s Church.

I am also very grateful to all the Leeds tweeters who retweeted my original offer, and to Kathy Faulks at Voluntary Action Leeds for her help and support.

I’ll update from time to time as shooting progresses and the aim is to finish the video by the end of July.
